that's emma back in january this year during CNY. not only has she
grown prettier (in my eyes at least!) but she has also become quite the little terror these days!
ever seen those kids lying face down on the floor of supermarket aisles screaming and crying and banging their fists on the floor? well, emma's one of them - not funny
she throws herself on the floor whenever things dont go her way. with emma, it's really her way or the highway... if we try to feed her, when she really wants to feed herself, she'll toss the spoon into the air and swipe the bowl of food off the table. there've been so many spilled bowls of porridge, rice, fruits... i've had to try so hard to restrain myself from reaching across the table to smack her at those times.
at night, she needs me to lie in bed next to her before she'll fall asleep. and if she happens to wake up at any time during the night and finds that i'm not there, she'll cry hysterically and lose her temper until i'm back in the room (no one else can take my place). and if i take too long to resume my position, she loses it and even when i am back there, she still shows no sign of letting up until i pick her up and tell her firmly "stop crying or else i'll leave the room". at that, she'll quieten down immediately and go back to bed.
ethan never displayed any of these traits at her age. i really think we're going to be in for a rough ride with this one.
despite all the above though, she does have her pleasant happy moments and those are enough to make us forget all the horrible screaming ones. and it helps that she's cute too ;)
